Halloween Outfits! :)

It's Halloween on Wednesday, and I thought I would show you some of the costumes I created! Send me pictures of your own, and can add them to the blog.

First, Queen of Darkness:

I layered all the black skirts/patterned skirts I owned onto my doll, and then added a Chanel bodysuit underneath. I also added a black belt to cover up some of the detailing on the skirts. A simple bag and spiked heels, and my outfit was complete! :) 

Next, in honour of the new Marvel movie coming out in the UK this week (Is anyone else going to see Thor 2? So exited!), here is a little evil inspired outfit:

This was harder than I thought it would be to create, as all the characters wear capes and bodysuits, which are extremely hard to find on Stardoll!

I used a black hood with a black bustier to create a curved neckline similar to the picture, and layered some pleather trousers over a black and green skirt to give the illusion of a black coat and cape :)

Young Hollywood Halloween Collection

There is a new Young Hollywood collection in the Starplaza! Grab it whilst it's hot!

I loved this collection, even if all the pieces were not quite to my taste. The outfits were inventive and well designed :) About half of them seemed to be Kim Kardashian inspired though, if that's a bad thing...

I had a few favourite pieces, but this caught my eye straight away:

Isn't it just gorgeous? If I had the 100sd+ to buy it, I definitely would, but until then :S

Pretty n'Love - New collection

What do you all think of the new Pretty n'Love collection?

I have to say, it is better than some of the previous collections, most people think of Pretty n'Love as a "girly" store, and I think Stardoll are trying to change this a little, by adding in a couple of colours other than pink :D

Here are a couple of my favourite items:

This dress is ahh-mazing, I love the ruffles and the colour 0-o It's so pretty :) 

The skirt is a must have, and it is in starcoins, so save up your daily allowances! I also love the little satchel handbag-y thing, it's a really bright colour and would be great with black and white outfits. 

And the things I hate...

This onesie. I can tolerate onesies, but at this price....guess the price! (scroll down to see)

26 Stardollars! It's ridiculous! Or is it not too bad? Tell me your opinion in the comments! :)

Callie's Picks

A few days ago, Stardoll gave us a new store, Callie's Picks. 

At first glance, I thought this store was a bit strange, with all those tartan ruffles (!), but then I looked a little slower, and actually found some pieces I liked. I have already seen a blogger or two comment on how Stardoll brought back out some rare clothes in this new store, but personally I don't think that it caused a particuarily big impact. I could understand if Stardoll decided to reintroduce the ELLE store or something like that, but none of these items were essentially "rare" enough to provoke outrage!

Here were a few of my favourites, I lovelovelove that red dress with the cute collar, I am buying that ASAP! The other t-shirt dress would be great for everyday outfits, and the shoes have some really nice ankle detail <3 Overall, I think Callie's Picks was a success, but maybe next time it would be great to see a little less tartan? :)

Halloween Pass

I saw the Stardoll homepage today, and there was a (rather large) advert for the Halloween Pass:

I decided to check it out a little further, as these passes are often much better value for money then normal.

This seems like a good offer, in comparison to their standard superstar membership for 1 month, which is £4.95 a month, but to me it is still a bit expensive. I would much rather pay the £35.40 for a whole year's membership with 200 stardollars a month at £2.95 a month instead of £4 a month on a Halloween pass and 200 stardollars a month. 

Sorry if this is a bit confusing, but what do you think? Is it worth it?

On another note, I said above that it was a bit expensive. I have spent way too much on Stardoll in the last 2 years, so I have decided to go spending-free and earn everything on the site for free, instead of paying for virtual items!

So far it is going well, you can complete surveys and watch videos for stardollars, and I have earnt around 15 in two days (not much, but it helps!). The only thing I am having problems with is a Superstar membership :S I would love to be able to sell my items, but I cannot see any way to get a free membership. Any ideas?

I hope this shows you that you don't necessarily need money to buy things on Stardoll, but it does make it a LOT easier! :)

Today's Look - Summer Fruits

I got the tutorial bug last weekend, so I thought I would share with you guys one of my favourite looks :) I called it Summer Fruits as it uses mostly soft pastel colours - my favourites!

First, I reset my doll. 

Then I added lime haircolour and some pink and cream highlights :) 

In real life, lipliner is always a must :) Make it one shade darker than the lipstick to make your lips 

POP!

I also added orange blush with some pink tints. 

Next, I filled in the lips - red on the top, plum on the bottom :) Then I lined under my eyes with some pale pink eyeshadow. 

Lastly, I added one last coat of blush, added purple eyeshadow in the outer creases of my eyes, white eyepencil to the inner creases and filled up to my brows with pale pink. I also added a coat of thickening mascara to my upper lashes :) Don't do the bottom ones, or it looks spidery!

There you have it! :) Accessorize and you are done!

Pick of the Day - Walking Zombie

Now, as I mentioned in my last post, I would like this blog to become more of a general blog rather than just outfits :) I will definitely bring back "Pick of the Day", and I will be making banners for the other topics soon.

Stardoll's Pick of the Day disturbed me today. I don't particularly like the new Fantasy Hotel store in the Starplaza, as I feel that it is too gruesome for a younger Stardoll audience. I am fourteen, and I would find this creepy to have in my suite! I can understand that Halloween decorations are meant to scare people, but personally I think that this is going one step too far. The bloodstains, pale mottled skin, it reminds me a bit too much of those horror films you watch with  your hands over your eyes. 

When I think of Halloween decorations, I think pumpkins and spiders, not wailing zombies and clawed hands. 

However, Stardoll did get some things right :) Did you see the awesomely cute Vampire Cat? I love it <3

I particuarily love this dress, as one of my favourite celebrities, Miley Cyrus (!) wore it - Stardoll named it the "Miley" dress in her honour!

And yes, I did update my medoll a little bit! I gave my doll a whole new look yesterday all ready for February, as I got some feedback saying the clothes on Stardoll didn't really fit my doll well. After playing around with the features, I found a style I am happy with - prepare yourselves for some rockin' looks next month!
